T Cole and Son Retail Scales, Weighing Scales and Thermal Transfer Ribbons in Northern Ireland, UK

Independent Retail System:

Client: Ferguson Butchers

The client Graham Ferguson, decided to carry out a full revamp of his Belfast based butchers.

We supplied and installed 3 x Full colour Touch Screen Scales with double printers model: Uc-Vco.

The scale are all networked on the counter, enables customers to start and finish their transaction at any point along the new store counter.

The scales can also be updated either on the counter should Graham wish or done via the office based computer.

The equipment is all PC based and as such because of the internal hard drive and touch screen layout all Grahams products are now on every scale, which eliminates the need for staff to remember Plu numbers or product prices.

The project was managed by ourselves and scale screen layouts were done jointly with the customer to provide the optimum layout for his needs.

The flexibility of the touch screens means we can have the layout which suited us and we were not controlled by the usual fixed keyboard layout on most scales. The double printer enables us to give customers a printed receipt, and also a label for their product if they require one, if for instance the product is being put into the freezer.
Coles delivered on time and everything went smoothly, it was worth updating the store as it has attracted lots of new customers."

Independent Labelling Equipment:

Client: Hilton Meat Products

Hilton Meats are a major supplier of Offal to the Retail Sector, and supply approx 100 Ton of Retail packs per week. Each and every pack has to be labelled with the correct information, including Weight, Price , Barcode, Sell-by Dates and Tarceability information. Due to the sheer volumes of product they run 24 per day and required labels to be printed and applied to the top and bottom of packs. Label placement was eccentical to meet with the exactly quality standards of presentation their customers required.

We have supplied Hilton with a range of Weighprice Labellers for the past 12years from the Digi brand, some of which are double head systems which enable Hilton to label products for 2 x separate customers on the same line at the same time.

Client: Genesis breads

Genesis Breads are a local NI Bakery supplying major Supermarket Multiples with Breads & Pastries. They produce high volumes of product which need to be packaged, labelled and delivered into store at short notice due to the perishable nature of products.

We were approached by Genesis to find a solution to their Retail Packs & Outer Case Labelling.

We supplied and installed a network of Automatic Labelling Systems which print and apply all their various labels with all the necessary product, barcode and date information required. With multiple production lines, to to combat any inconsistencies, their labelling systems were all networked to a main server in the factory admin area, to enable the Factory QA Staff to the control all product information. The outer case labels were designed, and a solution provided by ourselves, to print all labels quickly and easily by staff, as and when required.

We have provided the ongoing support for this Labelling Network for the past number of years and have constantly achieved high levels of service response for this customer, to enable them to keep their high volume production lines running, with minimum down time.

3rd Party Service Provision:

Client: Fujitsu Services ( M&S Implementation Team )

Fujitsu provide and install all the I.T & Pos systems throughout the Marks & Spencer Estate, and all this is done through their M&S Implementation Team. They do not have Ireland based engineers, and approached us to see if we could assist with installations and project upgrades and rollouts.

We agreed and send engineers to Fujitsu for training on their specific products. Since then we have provided engineers as and when required to install and carry out upgrades and project rollouts throughout Ireland. As you can imagine M&S is a very busy retailer and most if this work has to be carried out after store trading.

Our engineers and flexible enough to work with M&S & Fujitsu and attend the store after it has closed, we then complete works as requested before the stores opens again for trade.

Marks And Spencer Implementation Team

Client: Herbert Retail

We have been working with Herbert Retail for the past 14 years. Throughout that time we have looked after all the Break-Fix Servicing and Installations of Herbert Equipment for Herbert Retail customers throughout Ireland.

These customers include Tesco, M&S and Sainsbury.

Like with Fujitsu a lot of the work has to be carried out after normal trading hours.

With Herbert Retail we receive all jobs via an electronic link, and again, all jobs have to be signed of via the same electronic link, before the deadline given ( each customer has different contracted Sla's). We hold a stock of Herbert parts and this is replenished as and when it is used.
